cracked

so if you look towards the bottom right of this pic, you cas see a piece that's kinda cracked off. that's the wayward portion of my radius bone, which the ER doc said may need to be pinned down - based on the overall competency i experienced at the ER, i'm going to go on the basis that the doc doesnt know what the hell he's talking about, and i'll just need a teensy cast. i hope.

you can also see the outline of my ring - the one that i didnt think to remove from my rapidly-swelling hand until it was damn near impossible to remove. gray got it off just in time to avoid accidental finger loss.

cant really see much in this pic, but i thought all the bones looked cool. way in the bottom right you can see a little starry-looking area - that's the back side of the break.

that is all, carry on!

  1. You've got pretty bones. My fingers swelled so much when I was pregnant that one of them turned greenish blue while I was trying to get my ring finger off.

  2. So your skin is the zipbag that your bones come in?

If you need more bones, I've got 2 boxes of bones in my garage. I could even throw in a zipbag.

  3. All those little bones trip me out. Those must be carpels? What the hell do we need all those for?

  4. Oh the ring! I was like...Livestrong bracelet? Calamari?

I'm kind of freaked out at how low down fingers start. Hands are gross.

  8. Nice bone(r)....

Ok, I think it's important to come up with a good story now. You know, one that will bag you some chicks, or I guess dudes in your case.

"Yeah, I was in this Irish bar late the other night and some bloke bumps into me. I whip around and it's this huge ape of a man. I said, 'Excuse me..' in an irritated voice. He doesn't respond. So I cocked back and punched him square in the nose. Fucking assbag. I broke my wrist, but you should have seen his nose...bloody fuckin mess."

  12. After having 7 different broken bones I can read an x-ray almost as good as a doctor. Yes. I am a klutz. Hope you don't need pins. How is the ponytails coming?

  15. Cat,

I really like what you said about talking about something and learning from it, and dwelling are two different things.

My therapist lets me talk about it and helps me see how that is why I do certain things today, and then
gives me ideas on how to change things.

It made a huge difference for me to talk to her yesterday. I left her office feeling happy once again,
and with everything back in perspective.

    Thanks for sharing.

  17. So which has been worse? A) the smell, B) the pain, or C) dealing with incompetent assholes?

    You have very pretty bones.
