Don't Step On My Blue Suede...wait...

I got a wild hair up my ass and decided to take today off in order to work on my paper for school and get a bit of sleep, since I'm still fighting off a really disgusting mucus thing from a couple of weeks ago, and I'm coughing big lumps of shit out into my sleeve all day long. And when I'm not doing that, I'm dripping snot everywhere. But it's clear snot, so no worries.

So I put in for a day of vacation, which my boss approved, and I proceeded to sit on my ass all day long. I neither worked on my paper nor got extra sleep. I sat here and thought alternately about writing and about napping, but considering these ideas does surprisingly little in the way of getting them done.

I did get to watch the Inauguration, which was exciting for me because I love those blue stairs in the background. It was really annoying because some black guy was blocking my view of them with his big ears, but I could see around the edges pretty well. Ah, blue velvet stairs. Nothing like 'em.
So.........yeah, that's about all that's going on here with me. I'm sick and I'm lazy and I'm not writing anything worth reading. Going to go do some more of the tortured artist bullshit now.

    I only worked about two hours today, then said fuck it and came home.

    Where I proceeded to sit on my ass and do a whole lot of nothing.

    I blame it on the headache.

    I did talk to a hottie though, so giddyup.

    You want to know what i did? I read your damn blog all day long. I found you on Petra's blog, I found her on some Dude's blog, and I found him on Vodka mom's blog. Anyway, I read about three posts of the other two, but was fascinated by yours. Any person that admits to porn watching and liking, and girl crushing gets my attention.

    I am a follower and will remain a faithful reader. I made damn sure you didn't live in Orange County, so my husband won't have a problem with my fascination.

    that was an uncomfortable description of your being sick, ugh, lol I must say, I have been there though, and I feel for you.

    I have been incredibly productive, did some video shoots at concerts this weekend, and I finally posted a new song/demo on You Tube ( put it on my blog so you all can find it )

    hope you feel better soon, sometimes its good to just shut off for a while, you'll be in top form soon.

    Thinking about writing? Thinking about napping? Why not write about napping? Or take a nap and dream about writing? No reason you can't kill 2 birds with one stone, ya know?

    I wanted to stay home and watch those blue velvet stairs, but I decided to just watch it on the computer in class and call it "sharing The Moment with my students" and didn't waste the sick day". That was cool.
